About the Speakers:

Dori Brown received her Bachelor’s in Marketing from Oklahoma Baptist University and went on to complete her Master’s in Marketing from the University of North Alabama. She currently has over 15 years combined experience in 10th-12th grade education at Mesquite ISD and Rockwall ISD. Prior to teaching, Dori also gained nine years of agency and corporate marketing experience. Dori has taught over thirteen CTE Marketing Courses through Rockwall ISD and in 2016 was chosen as Dr. Gene Burton College & Career Academy’s "Teacher of the Year.
” A wife and mother of two, she attends and serves at Lakeshore Church in Rockwall with her family.
 
Arthur Lumzy Jr. is the Director of Student Career Preparedness (formerly Career Development) at Texas A&M University Commerce. As director, Arthur leads university’s career readiness programming and is passionate about helping students and alumni achieve their career goals. He has a proven track record of success in developing and implementing career programs and services, providing individual career coaching, and building relationships with employers. Arthur earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Master of Education in College Student Personnel from the University of Southern Mississippi. Arthur comes to his new role from the University of North Texas at Dallas, where he served as the Director of Career Services for 9 years. In his free time, Arthur enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and hiking.
 
Dr. Brent Donham is the Vice President for Research & Economic Development and former Dean of the College of Science & Engineering at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Throughout his academic career, he has been actively involved in engineering / STEM / workforce education. He has led the development and implementation of multiple engineering, engineering technology, and computing degree programs along with award winning career awareness programs. Dr. Brent holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University, a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a doctorate in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce. In addition to his higher education experience, Dr. Brent has more than twelve years of industry experience with Sandia National Laboratories and E‑Systems/Raytheon (now L3Harris.)
